2025 Press Release
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
LONDON, ON – Dec. 19, 2025 – This past year has been challenging in London, with economic pressures affecting many across our community. One thing that remains certain, however, is that the Forest City’s foundation is built on generosity and compassion. The results of the 2025 Business Cares Food Drive demonstrate that London’s businesses, employees, and residents continue to step up and answer the call to support those in need.
At its campaign wrap up today, the Business Cares Food Drive announced it raised 695,000 pounds’ total worth of food and cash donations, which will go to the London Food Bank that supports 35 Social Agencies operating 90 food programs in our area.
“We can say that this year’s campaign is an unqualified success,” Dunn explained. “We know Londoners are struggling with the ongoing ramifications of employment challenges, issues caused by food inflation and higher costs of living. But despite all that, Londoners showed the depth of their resolve to support those who need it most.
“I say it every year, because it’s always proven true – London businesses, employees, and citizens always answer the call when people are in need.”
The 2025 Food Drive, the 26th iteration of the campaign, concluded today with its day of giving. The final total of 695,000 pounds’ worth of food represents a 1.7% increase from last year. When factoring in the continual costs of food and inflation, this year’s totals are even more impressive helping to offset the increased demand the London Food Bank has faced this past year.
Jane Roy, co-director of the London Food Bank, echoed Dunn’s sentiment and said that this year’s drive is going to make a difference for so many in our community. “Each and every year, I talk to the campaign team and say that we’re thrilled with anything that we receive,” Roy added. “The agencies with whom we work are seeing increased need from the community and results today show how supportive our community is.”
