On the stage, on the ice, over the airwaves, and in grocery stores and businesses throughout the region, it's going to be a "Grand" kick-off to the 2017 Business Cares Food Drive in support of the London Food Bank.
Tomorrow morning, the 2017 Business Cares Food Drive campaign officially kicks off at Western University's London Hall.
The excitement starts at 10 a.m. as we're joined by members of The Grand Theatre's High School Project -- the same amazingly talented teens who brought you this year's production of Evita.
We'll outline this year's campaign goals, have representatives of the committee on hand to talk about the campaign, and offer insights on how you or your business can get involved.
It's a full day of events! CBC London will host its Sounds of the Season event and will be collecting donations for the London and Area Food Bank. And tomorrow night marks the first Be a Fan, Bring a Can Event at the Budweiser Gardens as the London Knights host the Oshawa Generals.
On Saturday and Sunday, Business Cares volunteers will be at grocery stores throughout the city, collecting cash and non-perishable food item donations. And many of the participating stores have created pre-packaged bundles that you can just add to your order at the register!
One more? OK! The Grand Theatre is also supporting the campaign by encouraging its patrons to say #Humbugtohunger and make a cash donation to the Food Bank following every performance of its run of A Christmas Carol.
We can't wait to kick off the campaign and we hope you'll join us.
